I’d say half right you gotta feel the blues to play them too, i mean like real blues not like most of what people hear or play now which is all empty sounding and cheesy.

This guy appears to be teaching the basics of the blues and what notes to hit the runs with. It really don’t matter who the teacher is, if you want to be a good blues player, learn the notes(and chords) first and the techiques, and once you get some “mileage” on your playing, that’s when you’ll get good at it. People can play the blues notes all they want, but until you get that touch and flow going, you aint play’n the blues. Best blues players been doin it for years. gotta have mileage 4 blues

robert johnson played country blues tho and both lee hooker and robert johnson were guitarist, this style more of a rhythm and blues/jazz. and this guy plays piano and he is a good musician too, i jus think ur ethnocentric thoughts are getting in the way to see that

I’ve got the 5 CD set for the Blues Piano, and in just two months I’ve gone from “keyboard-stupid” to “keyboard much-better-than-stupid.” Willie is fantastic. I play blues guitar, and have always wanted to rock the piano. Got an MM6 (also use it for songwriting FANTASTIC composing tool!). He REALLY makes it easy!
